Preity Zinta Shuts Down Paparazzo Post After Aamir Khan Ignore Claim During Batwara 1947 Shoot

Preity Zinta is not letting a passing on-set moment be turned into a full-blown Bollywood narrative. The actor has called out a paparazzo page after it suggested she ignored Aamir Khan during promotions for Batwara 1947, shutting down the claim before it could gather more heat online.

The video showed Preity stepping out of her vanity van and briefly posing for photographers while Aamir Khan was also seen nearby. That was enough for a social media page to package the clip as an awkward snub, complete with the caption, “Oh no, Preity Zinta ignored Aamir Khan?” Zinta, however, was quick to push back and make it clear there was no drama to decode.

Preity Zinta Calls Out The Viral Claim

Responding to the post, Preity wrote, “This is absolutely false ! I did not see Aamir as I was rushing from my van to the shoot & then to the airport for the promotions ! Please don’t create click bait and spread lies.” With that one sharp clarification, she punctured the viral claim and reminded followers how easily an ordinary workday moment can be twisted into gossip.

The timing of the clip made the speculation even more misleading. Preity, Aamir Khan and Sunny Deol were on the sets of Kaun Banega Crorepati as part of the film’s promotional run, and by her own account, she was moving quickly between the shoot and travel commitments. Her response left little room for interpretation, this was not a snub, just a rushed transition caught on camera.

Why Batwara 1947 Matters For Preity Zinta

Industry tracking around Batwara 1947, a Rajkumar Santoshi directorial backed by Aamir Khan Productions, has kept the spotlight firmly on Preity Zinta because the film marks her long-awaited return to a major Hindi screen role. Also known in earlier trade chatter as Lahore 1947, the period drama stars Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta and Shabana Azmi, making it one of the most closely watched titles in her current career chapter.

That is also why Zinta moved quickly to shut down the viral claim. With Batwara 1947 carrying real curiosity around her return, even a fleeting promotional clip had the potential to distract from the film itself. By addressing it directly, she kept the focus where she wanted it, on the work, not an invented off-screen slight.
