Renowned filmmaker Priyadarshan’s next Malayalam film Corona Papers is getting ready for its release in April this year. And Priyadarshan has finally broke the big news!
Yes he is making comeback to Hindi films with an Akshay Kumar starrer. During a recent interview, Priyadarshan said that “Corona Papers” would be his last directorial big-budget Malayalam film. He revealed that his next two films are Bollywood projects and one is them is with superstar Akshay Kumar.
In 2021, Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan confirmed that they were reuniting for a comedy. The movie was supposed to start in 2022 but due to the covid-19 and other commitments, it couldn’t go on floors. Akshay and Priyadarshan have previously collaborated on 6 films that were big hits.
Before reuniting with Akshay Kumar for the 7th time, Priyadarshan revealed that he would be directing a Bollywood multistarrer comedy entertainer with 5 actors in lead. However, details about the project are not known yet.
Meanwhile, the director’s upcoming film with Akshay is said to have an out-and-out comedy film with emotions toward the climax. The basic idea was already locked and the filmmaker was giving the final touch at the time the movie was announced.
This makes Akshay Kumar’s line up swell further with some really promising films. This Priyadarshan film will start rolling in 2024.
