Helmed by Vamshi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju, Varisu, a drama film stars Vijay, Rashmika Mandanna, R Sarathkumar, Prakash Raj and others. It has been decided that it will be released on January 12, 2023. Varisu refers to heir and is a family-entertaining film.
This is Vijay’s huge project post Nelson’s ‘Beast’, becoming the 66th feature film of the superstar. Varisu has the amiable genre in regards to other releases. It will have the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video as the digital rights.

Vijay plays the role of an heir to a rich entrepreneur and the film is about his comeback to his hometown post a major occurrence. It seems like a solid contender for Ajith’s Thunivu.
Earlier, Ranjithame song from the film was released. Vijay could be seen matching action with dancers performing in it. It’s composed by Thaman S. It seems Vijay plays a NRI who comes back to his native place.
