When two powerhouse actors like Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan share the screen, you know something special is about to happen. Ajay Devgn is playing a man trying to win over R Madhavan’s approval for his daughter, played by Rakul Preet Singh. The dynamic between the two actors is going to be the highlight of the film.
R Madhavan recently opened up about working with Ajay Devgn again, and his words were filled with admiration and respect. Sharing his experience of reuniting with the Mass Maharaja, Madhavan revealed that on set, he does not compete. According to him, the whole idea is to do the best they can for the sake of the character and the film. He shared an important lesson he learned from Ajay Devgn: when the story works, the film works, and everything works for everybody. But if an actor is only worried about what they are doing and getting insecure about it, then that is the wrong approach towards a film.
Freedom And Comfort On Set
Madhavan further explained that with Ajay Devgn, he enjoys incredible freedom and a comfort level like no other. On set, Ajay makes it so easy for everyone to work that Madhavan finds himself going above and beyond what is written on paper. Ajay allows him the freedom to explore and experiment, as did director Anshul Sharma and producer Luv Ranjan. Even though Madhavan and Ajay previously worked together in Shaitaan, where they were on the same side, De De Pyaar De 2 presents them as complete arch rivals. Madhavan described this as more of a one upmanship between the two characters, which required a completely different approach.
Treated Like A King On Set
One of the biggest reasons Madhavan said yes to De De Pyaar De 2 was the environment created by the unit. He shared that he feels so special when he is on set with Ajay Devgn. He feels totally loved and taken care of, and is treated like a king. For an actor, that is all he can ever ask for. This kind of atmosphere not only makes the shooting process smooth but also brings out the best performance from everyone involved.
