Radhika Apte is one of the most critically acclaimed actress in Bollywood. Starting out with small roles, she eventually went on to headline several highly successful films and shows. Some of her well-known works are Andhadhun, Sacred Games, Monica O My Darling, Lust Stories, Raat Akeli Hai, and the Hollywood film A Call To Spy. She has another interesting project lined up.
One of the most renowned actresses Tisca Chopra made her directorial debut in 2020 with the short film Rubaru. With over 50 film credits, Tisca has been able to prove her mantle both as an actress and as a filmmaker. She is now planning to make a feature-length film. According to media reports, the film (which is a suspense thriller) will star Radhika Apte in the lead role.
Kareena Kapoor Was Supposed To Star in the Film
Tisca’s directorial venture is tentatively titled A Train from Chaprola and it is an edge-of-the-seat thriller featuring Radhika playing the role of a confident woman who might not be what she seems like. Earlier, Kareena Kapoor Khan was initially offered the lead role but she declined it as she is already doing a thriller with Hansal Mehta which will release later this year. She did not want to do two back-to-back thrillers and for that reason, she had to back out. Tisca herself has written the film and its shooting will start in September in Uttarakhand.

Manish Malhotra To Produce The Film
A Train from Chaprola will be produced by ace fashion designer Manish Malhotra. It will be his first production venture under his banner Stage 5. He also has three projects lined up in collaboration with Jio Studios. Apart from Tisca Chopra’s film, Malhotra’s company will also produce a film titled Bun Tikki. The film will be directed by Faraz Arif Ansari and will follow a father-son relationship. It will star Abhay Deol, Shabana Azmi, and Zeenat Aman and its shooting will start in October.
The third one is titled Chalat Musafir and it will star Vijay Varma in the lead role. It will be directed by Vibhu Puri. Apart from all this, Manish will also turn into a director with Meena Kumari biopic, starring Kriti Sanon as the titular yesteryear actress.
