As they continue to bask in the acclaim of the success of their first production, Toaster, actor-producer couple Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa are keen to build on their initial commercial film project slate. They have just announced a new project too called Untitled Education Satire, which will start filming in Mumbai on June 1, 2025; this new production will star Keerthy Suresh opposite Rao. The premise is that it is a humorous, satirical takedown of the contemporary, modern Indian educational system, which is rife with commercialisation and profits over education and reason.
The film will be directed by Aditya Nimbalkar, who previously directed the film Sector 36 (2024). This new film is another step forward for the producers, who have just recently launched their production company catering to the production of content that is entertaining but still meaningful material.

A Satire With Teeth: Educators as Whistle-Blowers on a Broken System
Sources indicate that Rao and Suresh will be cast as educators who expose the flaws of a system that clearly no longer values education and educators and should be producing world-class scholarships for their students.
Sources say, “The story, while still comedic, comments on the process of education and how it has become a business, deviating away from being an agent for social change.” Once Keerthy Suresh wraps her Tamil production Revolver Rita, filming will last approximately 45 days in Mumbai and then in Delhi.
The Idea Behind The Banner: Stories That Matter
Although Rajkummar and Patralekhaa are still untested producers, insiders say their choices are anything but conventional. Their ambition? To create stories that provide a lens for us to reflect on present-day India in terms of the social, political and cultural lives of its citizens.
This second project, which will remain untitled, is yet another confirmation of the couple’s desire to greenlight living stories that espouse craft, conscience and commercial value.
BoxOfficeWorldwide’s Verdict:
With a National Award-winning cast, a relevant subject, and a team of cinematographers, actors, writers, and directors who embrace making truth by way of satire, this untitled feature promises to provide a welcome contrast to the usual academic stereotypes offered by Bollywood. If Toaster was the sample, consider this second film the platter.
