Director Nitesh Tiwari of Ramayana encountered an unexpected hurdle as leaked images of Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi portraying Lord Ram and Sita recently surfaced online during a shoot at Film City, Goregaon.
The leaked images sparked a frenzy among fans and critics alike, who eagerly dissected the actors’ appearances in the mythological drama, which also features Yash as Raavan. To prevent any further breaches of confidentiality, Tiwari has implemented changes to the film’s production schedule.
Ramayana To Be Shot Indoors For Now To Avoid Leaks – STRICT No-Phone Policy Enforced
Recognising the significance of preserving the film’s novelty, Tiwari restructured the shooting schedule to prioritise indoor scenes. A source close to the set told Mid-Day, “Nitesh sir has opted to focus on indoor shoots to mitigate the risk of future leaks. Outdoor filming will be conducted during nighttime over the coming weeks, accompanied by heightened security measures to deter paparazzi and overzealous fans.”
Makers To Announce The Film In June?
From the inception of the trilogy’s first instalment, the production team enforced a strict no-phone policy on set. “This rule is non-negotiable,” emphasised the source. “The crew is committed to an uninterrupted shooting schedule until the onset of the monsoon season, with a targeted completion of a substantial portion by June.”
To redeem the project’s momentum, the filmmakers are gearing up to shoot an elaborate sequence later this week, potentially serving as the official announcement for the film. Anticipation is mounting for the unveiling, slated for June.
Talking about the lead actor Ranbir Kapoor, he will be playing Lord Ram in this film. Apart from Ramayana, he also has Animal Park with Sandeep Reddy Vanga in the works and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next with Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt.
