With just days to go for Ramayana Part 1’s theatrical arrival, the makers have turned the spotlight firmly on Sai Pallavi. The latest character promo introduces her as Sita with a visual palette rooted in grace, devotion and quiet strength, giving audiences their clearest look yet at how one of Indian cinema’s most closely watched mythological adaptations is shaping up.
The new asset moves through Sita’s life in Mithila while also underlining her spiritual connection to the Earth and to Rama. The promo leans into two recurring ideas, “Daughter of the Earth” and “Bound by Love,” framing Sai Pallavi’s characterisation around tenderness, duty and Dharma rather than spectacle alone.
The Latest Character Reveal
Sharing the promo on social media, the makers wrote, “Daughter of the Earth, princess of Mithila. Bound by love, guided by Dharma. Sai Pallavi as Sita.”
That line neatly captures the tone of the campaign. Instead of overloading the reveal with exposition, the makers have chosen a stripped-back emotional introduction, one that positions Sita as a moral centre in the larger epic. For Sai Pallavi, whose screen presence has long thrived on emotional clarity over ornamentation, the casting has only added to the curiosity around the film.
This reveal also follows the film’s steady promotional rollout in the final stretch before release, with the campaign increasingly focusing on individual characters as the story world expands.
Ramayana Cast And Release Details
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, Ramayana is mounted as a two-part cinematic adaptation of the Indian epic. The ensemble includes Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman.
The first chapter is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on November 5, 2026, while the second part is planned for 2027. The film has been backed by Prime Focus Studios in association with DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, and has been designed for premium theatrical formats including IMAX. Sony is handling the film’s distribution outside India. The story centres on the timeless clash between Rama and Ravana, with Sita’s journey placed at the emotional heart of the saga.
Sai Pallavi’s Recent And Upcoming Work
Sai Pallavi has kept a selective but high-impact film slate in recent years. Her most recent released film was Thandel in 2025, following Amaran in 2024 and Gargi in 2022. Across those films, she has continued to balance performance-led parts with large-scale mainstream visibility, a combination that has made Ramayana one of the most significant turning points of her career.
Looking ahead, Ramayana Part 1 now stands as her biggest confirmed theatrical release on the immediate horizon. She is also attached to the second chapter of the franchise, which is expected in 2027. With this Sita promo, the makers have made it clear that Sai Pallavi is not being presented as a peripheral presence in the epic, but as one of its defining emotional pillars.
