That is what makes this moment especially potent. This was not a routine promotional stop, but a carefully timed global signal. As Ramayana gathers international attention for its scale and mythic pull, Toxic has now entered its first major overseas push, with Yash travelling to the US for a week-long visit tied to the campaign. With material from both films lined up for industry attention, the actor has positioned himself at the centre of a larger conversation about how Indian event cinema wants to travel.
Yash’s Two-Film CinemaCon Play
Toxic already stands apart in the market because it is not being pitched as a standard star vehicle. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film brings together a striking cast that includes Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth and Tara Sutaria, with Yash leading the lineup. Produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, the film has been written by Mohandas and Yash and mounted as a bilingual project in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions planned in multiple Indian languages. That creative and linguistic positioning gives Toxic a distinctly international shape even before release, and the film is currently scheduled for a theatrical bow in 2026.
Then there is Ramayana: Part One, which brings an entirely different kind of scale to Yash’s CinemaCon visibility. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash, who plays Ravana. Backed by Prime Focus Studios in association with DNEG and Monster Mind Creations, the epic is scheduled for a Diwali 2026 theatrical release. Its combination of mythology, spectacle and premium-format ambition has already made it one of the most closely watched Indian releases on the global exhibition calendar.
Why This Moment Changes The Yash Conversation
Yash’s last theatrical release was K.G.F: Chapter 2 in 2022, the Prashanth Neel blockbuster that locked in his pan-India box office muscle. In the past 48 months, he has not had an OTT release as a lead actor, which makes Toxic his first screen outing after a significant gap.
But this lineup makes that gap look less like absence and more like design. Toxic signals a sharper, more curated move, one that swaps familiar mass beats for a darker, more stylised world with crossover potential.
