The world of Ramayana has just sharpened its darkest edge. The makers of Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious mythological epic have unveiled a new poster featuring Yash as Ravana, adding fresh momentum to a campaign that has steadily built scale and intrigue around one of Indian cinema’s biggest upcoming titles.
The new visual puts Yash front and centre in full royal regalia, leaning into Ravana’s commanding presence rather than treating the character as a fleeting tease. Dressed in an ornate crown, layered jewellery and heavy arm pieces, the actor appears in a look designed to project power, authority and menace in equal measure. The reveal arrived soon after a special event attended by global creator MrBeast, giving the film another major pop culture crossover moment as it heads toward release.
New Poster Pushes Ravana To The Forefront
Yash’s Ravana had already drawn attention in the film’s earlier promotional material, but this poster gives audiences a more focused look at how the character has been imagined for the big screen. The emphasis here is clearly on scale and screen presence, with the styling highlighting Ravana as a towering mythic force within the film’s visual world.
That strategy fits the larger positioning of Ramayana, which is being mounted as a two-part epic with a strong premium-format push. The film is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Prime Focus Studios, in association with DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations. It is set for a global release on November 6, 2026, timed with Diwali, with the second part scheduled for 2027. The film is also being positioned for IMAX and other large-format exhibition.

The cast of Ramayana includes Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman. The film is based on the Indian epic and has been conceived as a multilingual theatrical event for Indian audiences across Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam markets.
With Yash also backing the project through Monster Mind Creations, his involvement goes beyond performance. That adds another layer of interest to the Ravana reveal, especially as the film continues to market itself as a prestige spectacle built for worldwide audiences.

Yash’s most recent theatrical release remains K.G.F: Chapter 2 from 2022, the blockbuster that cemented his pan-India stardom. Since then, the actor has kept his acting slate highly selective, with Ramayana: Part 1 and Toxic emerging as his last confirmed major features. Toxic, directed by Geetu Mohandas, is currently released last month, while Ramayana: Part 1 is due in theatres on November 6, 2026. There is no confirmed OTT release among his recent starring projects in this stretch, making this phase of his career especially defined by high-stakes theatrical bets.
