Recently we informed you that Ayan Mukerji’s directorial is in its 5th year of shooting the film. Brahmastra starred rolling four years ago, in February of 2018. To put it another way, the film will now enter its fifth year of production.

Talking about the film, Dharma Productions CEO Apoorva Mehta says, “We are very confident of the film. We spent a lot of time making it. I think Fox and Disney are very strongly involved with us at every level. I mean, they are driving this film. There are big plans about how we want to release this film.”
“We are really excited because we did a really breathtaking and impactful launch of the logo and the release date. And now I think we have formed many interesting marketing ideas and plans, all of which will keep unfolding as we come,” he added.

Aside from Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, Brahmastra also features Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna, as well as a cameo appearance by Shah Rukh Khan. In December, the film’s creators unveiled an amazing motion poster in front of a sold-out stadium in Delhi. The film’s release date has also been revealed: September 9, 2022. With so many films being delayed as a result of the third wave, it’s unclear whether Brahmastra will be released on the scheduled date or if it will be postponed.
