Ranbir, Hrithik Starrer Ramayana To Begin Shooting From September 2023, Confirms Producer Madhu Mantena

We earlier broke Sai Pallavi, four Filmfare South Awardee, will star in the mythological movie.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana stars Sai Pallavi as Sita alongside Hrithik Roshan who acts as Ravana, while Ranbir is expected to play Lord Ram. Allu Aravind is the producer of the film. We earlier broke Sai Pallavi, four Filmfare South Awardee, will star in the mythological movie.

The latest bollywood news is that Madhu Mantena, who has produced films like Udta Punjab, Ghajini, Super 30 and been working on Ramayana, revealed an update on the film when it comes to its shooting on reportedly a live-action trilogy.

“After intense research and groundwork for the last few years on the screenplay and story, the script will be ready in a couple of months. The story needs that amount of research and effort. We are aiming to start shooting from September 2023,” Pinkvilla quoted Madhu Mantena as saying.

He had stated, “Please expect the biggest cast ever in the history of Indian cinema. The characters of Ravana, Ram, Sita, Laxman are larger than life. You will see actors who are the best in class in terms of performances, coming on board the film. When I say the biggest cast ever, I mean it. It’s going to be really exciting.”

It has been in the pre-production stage for the last 18 months. According to reports, it will be a huge one and is the massive budget film in the Indian cinema. It’s said to be a high VFX film with original roots of Ramayana. Meanwhile, Hrithik last starred in Saif’s Vikram Vedha and Ranbir was last seen in Alia starrer Brahmastra.
