Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana Part One now appears to have found its release rhythm for the Diwali 2026 corridor, with paid previews lined up for November 4 in India before the film’s full domestic opening on November 5. The rollout gives the Ranbir Kapoor and Yash-led epic an early jump in its home market while staying aligned with its wider international launch pattern.
India Release Plan Comes Into Focus
The latest release blueprint points to a November 4, 2026 paid preview strategy in India, followed by the official opening day on Thursday, November 5, 2026. That positions the film just ahead of the main Diwali holiday frame instead of a later festive weekend arrival.
The move is significant because Ramayana Part One has been one of the most closely watched Hindi releases on the 2026 calendar, and there had been multiple release date conversations around its India and overseas debut. A paid preview on Wednesday gives the film a head start before the Thursday launch, a model often used to build momentum for event titles.
Overseas Rollout Follows A Staggered Pattern
Internationally, the film is expected to begin previews in North America on November 4, with the full opening across key markets such as Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Germany, the rest of Europe and Latin America on November 5. The United Kingdom, South Africa and Mauritius are presently aligned for November 6.
That staggered pattern suggests the makers are aiming for a coordinated global opening rather than a fragmented territory-by-territory release. The film’s East Asian rollout, including China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong, is still to be finalised.
Cast, Crew And Story Setup
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana Part One is backed by producer Namit Malhotra, with Yash also attached as a producer. The ensemble cast includes Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, Sai Pallavi and Sunny Deol. The film is being positioned as the opening chapter of a large-scale mythological saga, with international distribution support from Sony Pictures and domestic distribution in India handled by Dharma.
The story launches the screen retelling of the Ramayana, centring on Lord Ram and the larger battle between dharma and evil. As the first part of a planned two-film event, it carries the weight of both scale and expectation.
Ranbir Kapoor And Yash’s Recent And Upcoming Work
For Ranbir Kapoor, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar and Animal, both released in 2023, remain his most recent big-screen outings. Animal went on to become one of the biggest films of his career. He is now headlining Ramayana Part One as one of his most anticipated upcoming theatrical releases.
Yash was last seen in KGF: Chapter 2 in 2022, a blockbuster that reinforced his pan-India box office pull. His confirmed upcoming slate includes Toxic in 2026 alongside Ramayana Part One, making this a crucial phase in his post-KGF career trajectory.
