Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji spoke to Pinkvilaa about the success of her latest film Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway, and hinted at the possibility of a third installment in the Mardaani franchise
Rani, who played the role of a mother fighting for her children’s custody in Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway, spoke about the overwhelming response she has received for her performance. She also talked about the possibility of returning to play the character of Shivani Shivaji Roy in Mardaani 3, but only if a “fascinating story” comes her way.
When asked about her script selection process, Rani explained that she takes time to wait for audience reactions to her films and spends her time replenishing herself and gaining inspiration from cinemas across the world. She also shared that her criteria for selecting a film is to be associated with stories that she thinks people should know.
The Mardaani franchise has been a hit with audiences, with Rani’s performance as a tough cop receiving widespread praise. Fans will undoubtedly be eager to see Rani back in action in Mardaani 3, and we can only hope that a fascinating script comes her way soon.
