Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar And Dhurandhar The Revenge To Play Back To Back At Hong Kong Multiplex In Marathon 8 Hours Screenings

A nearly nine-hour Dhurandhar binge is headed for the big screen in Hong Kong, and that is not the kind of franchise flex Hindi cinema gets every day. With Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar The Revenge set to play back to back at a local multiplex, Ranveer Singh’s action saga is now crossing into a rarer territory, one where overseas audiences are being invited to experience the full ride in a single theatrical sitting.

The special screening is scheduled for April 12 at Premiere Elements in Hong Kong. Distributor AA Tech announced the presentation on Instagram as the “Dhurandhar Movie Marathon,” confirming that both films will be screened consecutively with three planned breaks across the nearly nine-hour programme. The post’s caption read, “You’ve been asking for it… and we’re making it epic!” followed by, “You asked. We delivered.”

From Spy Saga To Event Cinema

The timing gives the marathon extra punch. Dhurandhar The Revenge released on March 19, 2026, arriving just months after Dhurandhar, which opened in December 2025. Instead of positioning the sequel as a standalone winner, the Hong Kong showcase packages both chapters as one continuous big-screen experience, giving viewers the complete arc of Ranveer Singh’s character in a single outing.

Both films were directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios. The franchise features Ranveer Singh alongside Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal and Sara Arjun.

At its core, the story follows an undercover Indian intelligence operative who assumes the identity of Hamza Ali Mazari while navigating Karachi’s criminal underworld and a wider mission shaped by vengeance, deception and shifting loyalties. That high-stakes scale, paired with a star-heavy cast, has helped the franchise travel strongly beyond India.

That growing pull has also been reflected at the box office. Dhurandhar The Revenge has grossed Rs 1,392 crores worldwide, with Rs 872 crores net coming from India, cementing its standing as one of the biggest Hindi blockbusters in recent months. The Hong Kong marathon now lands as a direct extension of that momentum, showing there is enough audience appetite to revisit both films in one stretch.

Ranveer Singh’s Franchise Power Play

For Ranveer Singh, the Dhurandhar films have become a major commercial high point, placing him at the centre of an expansive action franchise mounted on a scale rarely attempted in Hindi cinema. The back-to-back Hong Kong programming also underlines how strongly his dual turn as Jaskirat Singh Rangi and Hamza Ali Mazari has connected with audiences across markets.

At a time when theatrical brands matter more than ever, Dhurandhar has clearly grown beyond a routine action title. With Aditya Dhar’s two-part saga now being programmed as a marathon attraction in Hong Kong, the franchise has added another marker of its global pull and its growing fan demand outside India.
