Ranveer’s Clear Vision After Dhurandhar Success
Sources close to the development reveal that Ranveer Singh is now very clear about the kind of films he wants to do next. The success of Dhurandhar has given him the confidence to choose his projects carefully and work only with filmmakers whose vision aligns with his own creative goals.
He is reportedly keen to collaborate with directors like Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Lokesh Kanagaraj, and Atlee. These are filmmakers known for their distinct styles and grand storytelling. Ranveer wants to explore different genres and characters that challenge him as an actor.
The Gangster Film Concern
One of the main reasons Ranveer has stepped away from Don 3 is that he does not want to do back to back gangster films. Dhurandhar has already established him powerfully in that space, and doing another gangster role immediately after would not be the smartest move for his career.

Instead of Don 3, Ranveer has asked director Jai Mehta to prepone the shoot of Pralay. This zombie based film backed by Applause Entertainment tells a human story about how far a man will go to save his family in the most difficult circumstances.
Ranveer is now personally involved in aligning dates and schedules to ensure Pralay can start filming sooner than originally planned. He is fast tracking this project and wants it to go on floors as quickly as possible.
Don 3 Makers Start Fresh Hunt
With Ranveer Singh officially out of the picture, the makers of Don 3 have wasted no time. They have already started scouting for a new actor who can take on the responsibility of playing Don. The intention is to finalize the new lead quickly and take the film on floors by the end of January 2026.
The makers have already locked Kriti Sanon as the female lead of this action thriller. The film is expected to be mounted on a grand scale and will be shot extensively across multiple locations in Europe.
