The most anticipated movie, Takht, was supposed to go on floors by September last year, but due to some expenses it took time. The movie was then supposed to start rolling in March but due to Coronavirus Pandemic, the shoot has been delayed again.
Karan Johar’s Takht stars Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, Anil Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Bhumi Pednekar and Janhvi Kapoor in the pivotal roles.
Recently the character details of Kareena Kapoor Khan is revealed. She will be playing the role of Jahanara Begum, who was the eldest child of Emperor Shah Jahan, and older sister of Aurangzeb and Dara Shikoh!
In an interview, Kareena said, “I am playing Jahanara’s character in Takht. In the Mughal history Jahanara Begum was the most important woman in the court. She was actually the main reason as to why everything took place. Us samay Shah Jahan ne har decision Jahanara se puch kar liya tha [At the time, Shah Jahan made all decisions after consulting with Jahanara]. I am very excited to play that part.”
