Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor were picked as the film’s titular characters after Sanjay Leela Bhansali finalised his cast for ‘Bajirao Mastani’ in 2003. Even so, they engaged in a joint photo session. According to Bollywood Hungama, The inconceivable was done by Salman while plans were being made for dates, costumes, etc. He gave the Salman-Kareena deal for ‘Kyun Ki’, Priyadarshan’s adaptation of Milos Forman’s ‘One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest’, without telling Bhansali, depriving the two of the individuality they would have displayed in ‘Bajirao Mastani’.
After learning what Salman had done with Kareena’s involvement, Bhansali had no other choice left. He had to drop ‘Bajirao Mastani’ in favor of Black, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Rani Mukerji. While talking about ‘Kyun Ki’, it was a major flop movie ever in the careers of Salman, Kareena and Priyadarshan.
Meanwhile, Salman has recently released the ‘Naiyo Lagda’ song from his movie ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’. While Kareena Kapoor is busy recording for the Hindi audio series of Marvel Wastelanders.
