
Actress Rhea Chakraborty who was accused of abetting suicide of her late boyfriend and actor Sushant Singh Rajput urged CBI to take action against her neighbours. She took this step because her neighbours for giving wrong statements to media which the misled the investigation.
In a letter which was addressed to Nupur Sharma who heads the special team of CBI Rhea said that Dimple Thawani, her neighbour falsely claimed that Sushant dropped her home on July 13th, a day before he took the step of suicide.
Rhea in a letter issued through her lawyer said,
“Dimple Thawani made false and bogus allegations against me knowing them to be false and misled the investigation. The allegation was that Sushant Singh Rajput had dropped me to my house in his car on June 13, which is false.”
Although Dimple Thawani did not respond when contacted.
“I say that such a conduct makes out a prima facie case punishable under sections 203 (giving false information about an alleged offence) and 211 (false charge of offence) of the Indian Penal Code which is punishable with seven years imprisonment,” the letter said.
