The Higher Calling Behind The Film
In a previous interview, Rishab revealed the deeper motivation behind creating Kantara Chapter 1. He stated that the film was not created for financial gain. If he had accepted other opportunities, he could have minimized risks and spent more time with his children. However, he pursued Kantara Chapter 1 due to a higher calling.
When the people of Karnataka embraced Kannada and audiences from various languages and cultures resonated with it so profoundly, he realized he had to finish the narrative. The prequel was essential to honor the story. Rishab also shared that he did not want to engage in any new projects until Kantara Chapter 1 was completed.

A prequel to the acclaimed 2022 film Kantara, this movie explores the beginnings of the sacred forest and the Daivas.
