Exclusive Box Office: Kannada Film ‘Kantara’ Had Fair Weekend, Followed By Hold On Monday. Numbers Inside!

Directed by Rishab Shetty, Kantara (which refers to forest in Sanskrit) stars Sapthami Gowda, Kishore, Pramod Shetty, Prakash Thuminad and Achyuth Kumar in leading roles. Audiences appreciated the film’s direction, screenplay, music and performances. It is a visual grandeur that energises the traditional culture of Kambla and Bhootha Kola.

The movie is set in the 90s and moves around ancient cultures and rural beliefs. It clashed with Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan starrer Vikram Vedha and Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan: 1 at the box office. Kantara performed well on its first 4 days of the release at the box office and earned ₹ 11.85 Cr India nett weekend total.
