Directed by Karan Johar and backed by his production company Dharma, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani stars Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi, Jaya Bachchan and others. It is set to release on July 28, 2023. Pritam Chakraborty is the music director.
The latest news is that Alia Bhatt will recreate Sridevi’s super look from Chandni as per Bollywood Hungama. Alia and Ranveer will reportedly shoot for a special song in this month. Alia’s look in the song would be of Sridevi in Yash Chopra’s Chandni, where the romantic duo would be Karan Johar’s tribute to his mentor Yash Chopra. Manish Malhotra is said to style Alia in a chiffon saree, a la Sridevi. Alia will don a minimalist look.
It marks the first collaboration between Dharmendra and Ranveer and second of Ranveer, Alia post Zoya Akhtar’s 2019 musical-drama – Gully Boy. It will mark Dharma Productions’ widest release ever and would be on par with Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham as per reports.
