After Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, Vasan Bala and Ronnie Screwvala are coming together for a new project. Producer Ronnie Screwvala is already working with Vicky Kaushal in the film titled The Immortal Ashwatthama.
Now according to the recent update, the two filmmakers will be working on a superhero project. The script is based on American comic strip The Phantom, a crime-fighter who operates from the fictional country of Africa, Bangalla.
While the project is on a very initial stage, the team has already acquired official screen adaptation rights.
The film is expected to go on the floors in the second half of 2020.
First published in Lee Falk in February 1936, the Phantom is an American adventure comic strip. The characters for the film were adapted for television, film and video games.
