Speculations had circulated in the industry, suggesting that Shahid had agreed to a reduced remuneration for this project. Adding to the rumors, there were claims that the film would be a remake of the Prithviraj Sukumaran-starrer Mumbai Police. However, it has now come to light that Andrrews’ venture is an original film and not a remake as previously speculated.
According to a reliable source from the industry, recent reports suggesting that Rosshan Andrrews’ collaboration with Shahid Kapoor, titled Koi Shaq, is a remake of Mumbai Police are completely false. The source confirmed that Koi Shaq is an entirely original script that has been meticulously developed. While the project is still in its early stages, the cast and script have already been finalized. However, Andrrews prefers to maintain secrecy regarding further details at this point. More information about the film will be disclosed once filming begins.
Shahid Kapoor ‘s Line Up
Shahid Kapoor’s latest release, Bloody Daddy, has made its debut on an OTT platform and has been garnering favorable feedback from viewers. Moving on to Andrrews’ upcoming project, tentatively titled Koi Shaq, it has been confirmed that Pooja Hegde will also feature in the film. The production responsibilities for Koi Shaq will be undertaken by Siddharth Roy Kapur’s production banner, Roy Kapur Films. Shahid Kapoor also wrapped Maddock Films’ next with Kriti Sanon.
