Manoj Muntashir, the writer of the Prabhas-led film Adipurush, has opened up about the backlash he faced over the film’s dialogues. The controversy surrounding Adipurush sparked widespread criticism, with many believing that the dialogues misrepresented religious sentiments and damaged the image of key figures like Lord Ram and Hanuman.
Muntashir has previously stated that any mistakes he made were unintentional and that he never aimed to offend anyone.

In a recent conversation with Shubhankar Mishra on his YouTube channel, Muntashir shared the personal toll the controversy took on him. He admitted that the scrutiny affected him deeply, causing him to cry.
Reflecting on the experience, hh said, “Roya tha mai. Ek insan ke taur pe maine ye samjha ki kuch bhi permanent nahi hai.”
He elaborated, saying, “Jo aaj hai, ho sakta hai ye kal na ho, lekin ye bhi seekha ki jo accha hai, wo kal bura bhi ho sakta hai aur wo parso accha bhi ho sakta hai.” (What exists today may not be there tomorrow, but I also learned that what is good today can be bad tomorrow, and what is bad today can be good the day after.)
Muntashir assured his fans that he hasn’t given up and continues to work tirelessly, stating, “Toh mai ruka nahi hu, jhuka nahi hu, mai din raat koshish kar raha hu.” (I haven’t stopped or bowed down, and I am working day and night.)
Here’s What He Said About The Film Industry
When discussing the broader industry, Muntashir offered a candid perspective on Bollywood.
He said, Bollywood is a market. Market me toh koi niyam kanun hota nahi; fayeda hi ek niyam hai.” (In the market, there are no rules or laws; profit is the only rule.)
He noted that when it’s beneficial for others in the industry to work with him, they will do so. He confirmed that many are already seeking his collaboration.
Upon its release, Adipurush faced heavy criticism due to its dialogues and VFX quality. In a past interview with AajTak, Muntashir reflected on the lessons he learned from this experience. He admitted he had made significant mistakes but clarified that he wasn’t insecure about his writing abilities. He acknowledged that he would never knowingly make such errors again.
