Saif Ali Khan, who already has two films in his line-up, Devara starring Jr.NTR and Janhvi Kapoor and Red Chillies Entertainment’s investigative drama Kartavya, has reportedly signed up for a new project.
Saif Ali Khan teams up with Balaji Mohan known for Dhanush Starrer Maari
As per a recent report in Peeping Moon, Saif Ali Khan will be collaborating with Tamil filmmaker Balaji Mohan, known for Dhanush starrer Maari. The project will be bankrolled by Junglee Pictures.
If the report is to be believed, Click Shankar will mark Balaji Mohan’s Hindi film debut. Binky Mendez and Balaji Mohan set to write the screenplay, with Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta fame Karan Vyas penning the dialogue. The film is being planned as a franchise.

About Saif Ali Khan and Balaji Mohan’s Click Shankar
Click Shankar revolves around Saif Ali Khan as Shankar Rebeiro, an inspector who is complexly both witty and troubled. Shankar has a rare condition called hyperthymesia, which allows him to remember every event of his life, making it both a blessing and a curse. The film revolves around Shankar’s journey of solving a mystery that challenges his wit and photographic memory

Meanwhile, besides the two films lined up for release, the Vikram Vedha star also is set to start the year shooting a Netflix survival thriller for Pathaan director Siddharth Anand’s banner. Post which he’ll shoot for Click Shankar in May.

Junglee Pictures on the other hand has multiple projects in various stages of development with directors like Jeethu Joseph, Meghna Gulzar, and TJ Gnanavel. Additionally, they have Sudhanshu Saria’s Ulajh, starring Janhvi Kapoor, Roshan Mathew and Gulshan Devaiah, scheduled to release in cinemas this year.
