‘Salaar’ Makers REVEAL Reason Behind Prabhas’s Film Postponement In An Official Statement; Say “Decision Is Made With Care”

The makers, Hombale Films have issued an official statement and cited their commitment to delivering an extraordinary cinematic experience as the reason for this decision.

The much-awaited action thriller Salaar, starring Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead roles, has been delayed from its original release date of September 28, 2023.

While the new release date remains undisclosed at this point, it is clear that they are dedicated to providing fans with a memorable movie. However some murmurs suggest that Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire might now be released in December 2023 or January 2024.

 

Salaar makers, Hombale Films issue an official statement on postponement

Salaar’s US Advance bookings refunds were provided

Originally scheduled for release on September 28, 2023, the film’s advance bookings had already opened overseas, amassing impressive numbers well ahead of its debut .

“Salaar holds a prominent position among the big films emerging from India, and the creators are determined to meet the high expectations of fans and moviegoers. Unfortunately, the film is not yet ready and requires additional time for post-production. Consequently, Prabhas, Prashant Neel, and their team collectively agreed to postpone the movie from its original September 28 release date. The distributors in the USA and India have also been notified about it, while the USA’s bookings will be canceled and refunds will be issued. The makers will finalize a new date and make an official announcement soon,” an industry source had informed another publication earlier.

Salaar Part 1 – Ceasefire: A Pan-India film with high expectations

Salaar is a pan-India film directed by Prashanth Neel, who is known for his blockbuster KGF series. The film marks the first collaboration between Neel and Prabhas, who is one of the most popular actors in India. The film also features Malayalam star Prithviraj Sukumaran as the antagonist, along with Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Easwari Rao, Sriya Reddy and others in supporting roles. The film is expected to be a high-octane action drama with Prabhas playing a violent character named Salaar. The film is being made in Telugu and will be dubbed in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages.
