Salman Khan’s upcoming war drama Battle of Galwan has kicked off a fresh shooting schedule in Mumbai, and this time, it comes with a splash of celebration. Even as chatter continues around the film’s release timeline, the makers have begun filming a special dance number that is expected to bring a high energy moment to the otherwise intense story rooted in the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese troops.
The new update is significant because it signals that the team is still pushing ahead at pace with the final leg of production. The number is being mounted on a larger scale and is currently underway with Salman in action for the sequence.
Salman Khan Shoots Dance Number For Battle Of Galwan In Gorai And Vile Parle
The celebratory song shoot began on February 6 and is set to wrap on February 12. The unit is filming in Gorai first, after which the schedule moves to a specially erected set at Golden Tobacco in Vile Parle.
Choreography for the song is being handled by Shabina Khan, who has previously choreographed Salman across multiple films. With two distinct Mumbai backdrops being used, the team appears to be crafting a set piece that is designed to stand out within the film’s narrative.
Release Date Buzz And The Film’s Final Shooting Timeline
Battle of Galwan has been in the news due to uncertainty around its intended Eid window. While there has been discussion in the industry about whether the film will arrive as planned, the production appears to be nearing completion.
An insider was quoted saying, “It’s a celebratory song. The unit is currently filming in Gorai, after which they will move to a set that has been constructed at Golden Tobacco in Vile Parle.”
The same source added context on the remaining schedule and the release conversation: “It’s all speculation stemming from talk that the film may need a clearance from the Ministry of Defence. The makers are aiming for an Eid release. If they are unable to meet it, they’ll line it up for Independence Day.”
As per the update, after the song wraps on February 12, only around two weeks of shooting will remain for the film.
