Following in the footsteps of Sonu Sood, superstar Salman Khan has stepped forward to assist those in need in Maharashtra’s flood-affected areas. The actor is said to have sent five tempos of supplies to flood-affected districts surrounding Mahabaleshwar, including Chiplun, Mahad, and other villages. The cars were marked off by Maharashtra’s cabinet minister for tourism and environment, Aaditya Thackeray.
According to a daily, Rahul N Kanal, the president of the I Luv Mumbai Foundation and a Yuva Sena leader, is coordinating rescue operations with Salman Khan. He said they supplied 500 ration packs, each containing five kilos of rice and wheat, two kilos of dal, one litre of oil, one kilos of tea powder, and two kilos of mixed spices.
50,000 bottles of mineral water, 5,000 sanitary napkins, and 50,000 cookie packages have also been sent. They also provided cutlery and several ready-to-eat meals in addition to these necessities. Salman Khan has enquired about the needs of the community.
On the other hand, Sonu Sood has supplied 1 lakh milk packs to flood-affected areas.
