Salman Khan’s new film with Vamshi Paidipally is already shaping up as a glossy, large-scale entertainer, and its next major stop is set far away from the usual studio grid. The superstar is heading to Manali for a key leg of the shoot, with the makers planning to film important house portions in the Himachal schedule.
Box Office Worldwide was first one to report about casting of Nayanthara opposite Salman in the film in addition to breaking the news about Anil Kapoor and Arvind Swamy joining the cast if this film.
Now Box Office Worldwide has exclusively learned that the Manali schedule has been locked as the next stretch of filming for the Salman Khan and Dil Raju project. Film will be shot there from this month end to June. The location choice points to a more rooted visual setting for a film that is being mounted as a theatrical commercial package, and it also signals that the production is moving deeper into principal photography after going on floors in April 2026.
Why The Manali Schedule Matters For Salman Khan’s New Entertainer
The Manali leg is not just another outdoor stop on the calendar. The portions lined up there are tied to the house setup in the story, making this schedule important to the film’s emotional and visual world. For a Salman Khan vehicle that is expected to play on a broad commercial canvas, the shift to Manali suggests the makers are building a setting that goes beyond action-led scale and into a more lived-in narrative space.
The project also carries the weight of a fresh industry combination. This is Salman’s first film with director Vamshi Paidipally and producer Dil Raju, a pairing that has naturally drawn attention across Hindi and southern film circles. Salman had confirmed the collaboration earlier this year on social media, writing, “Dil, Dimag, Jigar se from this April with @directorvamshi and #DilRaju.”
What We Know About The Film So Far
The film is being directed by Vamshi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations. It is currently identified by the working title SVC 63, with a theatrical release being targeted for 2027. Nayanthara is attached in a principal role, while Anil Kapoor and Paresh Rawal are also listed as part of the ensemble. The makers have not announced the final title or revealed the full plot yet, but the project is positioned as a mainstream action entertainer designed for the big screen.
Paidipally’s last directorial was Varisu, which starred Vijay and released in 2023. Dil Raju, meanwhile, continues to remain one of the most active producers in mainstream Indian cinema, with a track record of backing star-led commercial films across languages. That context makes this Salman Khan collaboration one of the more notable theatrical projects currently in the works.
Salman Khan’s Recent And Upcoming Work
Salman Khan was last seen in Sikandar in 2025, directed by AR Murugadoss. Before that, his recent theatrical release was Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan in 2023, which marked another star-driven big-screen outing in his commercial filmography. Over the last few years, Salman’s choices have stayed rooted in theatrical spectacle, even as the box office conversation around his films has remained closely watched.
Looking ahead, Salman is attached to Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace, directed by Apoorva Lakhia, which is scheduled to release on August 14, 2026 after couple of postponement. Beyond that, SVC 63 now stands out as a significant upcoming title in his slate, especially because it brings him together with a new director-producer combination on a large-format commercial film.
