Salman Khan threat probe: Mumbai Police reveals details of links with three members of a gang operated by Lawrence Bishnoi

The person who delivered the threat letter has also been recognised by the police.

The threat letter to Bollywood actor Salman Khan was a publicity stunt by Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang, Mumbai Police revealed on Thursday. The threat was sent at the request of Vikram Barad, a Bishnoi associate currently residing in Canada.

Three persons had travelled to Mumbai to deliver the threat letter, according to the police. They had met Sourabh Mahakal, who had been questioned for six hours by the Mumbai crime branch today.

The person who delivered the threat letter has also been recognised by the police.

Vikram Barad is the mastermind behind the threat letter to Salman Khan, according to the interrogator. Barad lives in the Rajasthani town of Hanumangad. He is facing more than two dozen charges.

On June 5, an unsigned note addressed to actor Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan was discovered at Mumbai’s Bandra Bandstand promenade with the statement “tumhara Moose Wala kar denge (you will end up like Moose Wala).”

Salim Khan’s guards discovered the letter where the veteran screenwriter regularly rests after his morning walk.
