Salman Khan Vs Kala Hiran: Delhi High Court Issues Notice To Makers After Actor Seeks Stay

Salman Khan’s legal battle over Kala Hiran: The Battle for Legacy has now reached the Delhi High Court, turning what began as a dispute over a film’s publicity material into a closely watched personality rights case. The actor has sought urgent intervention against the film’s production, promotion and release, and the court has now asked the makers to respond.

At the heart of Salman’s plea is the claim that the film’s campaign uses identifiable elements linked to him for commercial gain. The petition objects to promotional material allegedly featuring references to his public image, including the use of a lookalike and visual details associated with the actor.

Delhi High Court Seeks Response From Kala Hiran Makers

A vacation bench of Justice Neena Bansal Krishna issued notices to the director and producer of Kala Hiran: The Battle for Legacy on Friday. The matter has been listed for hearing on June 19, 2026.

Salman’s legal team had earlier sent a notice to the makers asking them to stop shooting and refrain from publicising promotional assets connected to the film. Producer Amit Jani later shared the notice on X and wrote, “Salman Khan has started threatening people associated with the movie Kala Hiran by sending them notices.”

The court’s move adds immediate legal pressure to the film’s rollout, especially with its promotional campaign already attracting attention online.
