The shooting of Salman Khan’s upcoming film Sikandar has been temporarily paused after Rashmika Mandanna suffered a gym injury. Rashmika was actively filming for the project when the incident occurred.
Rashmika Mandanna Sustains An Injury During Gym Workout
A source close to the actress shared that she sustained the injury during a workout session but is recovering with rest. Due to the injury, her shooting schedule has been briefly halted. Reports suggest she is feeling better and will return to work soon after medical clearance.
“Rashmika recently sustained an injury in the gym and has been recovering well by resting. However, this has caused a temporary halt to the filming of her upcoming projects. Nevertheless, she’s already feeling much better and will resume work on set very soon,” said the source.
About Sikandar
Sikandar is directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The film stars Salman Khan in dual roles, alongside Kajal Aggarwal, Rashmika Mandanna, Sathyaraj, Sharman Joshi, and Prateik Babbar. This project marks Salman Khan’s reunion with Sajid Nadiadwala after nearly ten years since Kick. The film is slated for release on Eid 2025.
Rashmika Mandanna: Work Front
In addition to Sikandar, Rashmika Mandanna is receiving attention for her role as Srivalli in Pushpa 2: The Rule. Directed by Sukumar, the film features Allu Arjun and Fahadh Faasil.
It has surpassed SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2 to become the second-highest-grossing Indian film after Dangal. The makers have also announced Pushpa 2: The Rule Reloaded, which will feature 20 minutes of additional footage and will be released in theatres on January 17.
Rashmika will also appear in The Girlfriend, directed by Rahul Ravindran. The film’s teaser was recently shared by Vijay Deverakonda, who expressed support for Rashmika’s role in the project.
