Sam Bahadur is directed by Meghna Gulzar, who previously collaborated with Vicky Kaushal in the spy thriller Raazi. The film is based on the life and career of India’s first Field Marshal, who led the Indian Army to victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war that resulted in the creation of Bangladesh. The film also stars Sanya Malhotra as Sam Manekshaw’s wife Silloo, Fatima Sana Shaikh as former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, and Neeraj Kabi as General Jagjit Singh Aurora.

Actor Vicky Kaushal, who is playing the role of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw in the upcoming biopic Sam Bahadur, shared a new sneak peek into the film on his Instagram account on Thursday.
Sharing the still, Vicky wrote, “To a life well lived! #Samबहादुर.”

Sam Bahadur teaser to be screened during Ind-Pak match
According to reports, the teaser of Sam Bahadur will also be screened during the India vs Pakistan World Cup match on October 14, which is expected to be watched by millions of cricket fans across the world. A source close to the film’s producer Ronnie Screwvala told, “The idea is to reach out to as many people as possible and invite them to experience this heroic tale of Field Marshal, Sam Manekshaw.”

Sam Bahadur has been shot over a period of two years at various locations across the country. The film is slated to release on December 1, 2023. Fans are eagerly waiting to see Vicky Kaushal’s transformation into one of the most celebrated and respected military leaders of India.
