Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi make for one of the most iconic on-screen Bollywood broship ever in the Munna Bhai series. In both films, the character of Munna and Circut emerge and their major highlights. Another similarly popular comedy film is the 2007 Akshay Kumar, Anil Kapoor, and Nana Patekar starrer Welcome. However, the two worlds are mixing but for the wrong reasons.
According to media reports, Sanjay Dutt And Arshad Warsi will be replacing Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor in the third installment of Welcome as producer Firoz Nadiadwala plans to revamp the franchise. Akshay Kumar, who played Rajiv in the first film, will be back in Welcome 3. Sanjay and Arshad will be playing the goofy gangsters, Majnu and Uday in the third film.
Film To Go On Floor Next Year
The script of Welcome 3 has been finalized and its shooting will be going on the floor next year. Once Akshay Kumar finishes filming Jolly LLB 3 and Housefull 5, he will be going for this project. But the departure of Nana and Anil is sad news for all the fans of the first film. A source explained the reason, “It’s a case of monetary disagreements between the duo and the producer.” Reportedly, Sunil Shetty will be also joining the cast of Welcome 3.

Welcome 2 Was Received Poorly
The first Welcome is still considered to be one of the finest Bollywood comedies. Its every scene, dialogue and song is a part of our pop culture. Some of the scenes have been immortalised thanks to the internet for turning them into memes. After its massive success, Anees Bazmee made its sequel titled Welcome Back, but this time Akshay Kumar was replaced by John Abraham.
The film was a total disaster. So a third installment, that too without Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar, doesn’t seem like a nice idea as one can’t imagine the franchise without their iconic characters. But we can hope against hope that Welcome 3 turns out to be as good as the first installment. Lately, there were also talks of a third Hera Pheri franchise which has been doing the rounds for several years now.
