Raaj Shaandilyaa, who made his directorial debut with Dream Girl in 2019, and recently directed sequel of the film, Dream Girl 2, has already announced 7 films under his banner. Reportedly, this is going to be his 8th production.
The film is said to be a quirky and twisted comedy on the lines of No Entry, which was a blockbuster hit in 2005.
“It’s Sanjay Dutt in a pure comedy after a while. He is also excited to explore the slapstick zone again,” the source said. While there is a young actor yet to be signed on, Aparshakti Khurrana has been roped in for a supporting role.
The makers have reportedly chosen a unique title for the film, which will be revealed soon.
Sanjay Dutt to play Casanova in Raaj Shandilya’s comedy film
Sanjay Dutt, who is known for his versatile roles in films like Munna Bhai MBBS, Agneepath, and KGF 2, is all set to explore a new genre of comedy in his upcoming film with writer-director Raaj Shaandilyaa. The actor will portray the character of a casanova, who is also an expert in extramarital affairs.
“Sanjay Dutt plays the role of a Casanova, who is also an extramarital affair specialist. It’s a quirky and twisted comedy on the lines of No Entry. The protagonist will be joined by some actors from the younger generation, who will play the role of Sanjay Dutt’s protégé,” revealed a source close to the development.
Aparshakti Khurrana’s comic role in Raaj Shandilya’s film
The film will also feature Aparshakti Khurrana, who has impressed the audience with his comic timing and acting skills in films like Dangal, Stree, and Luka Chuppi. He will play a key role in the film and share an interesting dynamic with Sanjay Dutt’s character. The film will also have a large ensemble cast of talented comic artists and a young actor, who will play the role of Sanjay Dutt’s protégé.
“Aparshakti has come on board to play a key role in this film. Like always, his character will have a lot of comic undertones and will share an interesting dynamic with Sanjay Dutt in the journey,” the source added.

This Sanjay Dutt starrer to go on floors in 2024
Sanjay Dutt has a busy schedule ahead of him, as he has two big films lined up for release. He will be seen in KD, a sci-fi mass entertainer directed by Puri Jagannadh and co-starring Ram Pothineni. He will also be seen in Welcome to the Jungle, the third installment of the popular comedy franchise Welcome, co-starring Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal. He is also rumored to be part of Hera Pheri 3, another comedy sequel that has been in the pipeline for a long time.
In middle of his existing commitments, Sanjay Dutt is reportedly set to start shooting Raaj Shandilya’s film in early 2024 which will be shot over 30 to 40 days in India.
