Inshallah was supposed to mark the first collaboration between Khan and Bhansali in over a decade. The film was expected to be a romantic drama, with Khan playing a middle-aged businessman and Bhatt portraying a young aspiring actress. However, reports suggest that the two couldn’t agree on the script and creative differences ultimately led to the project being shelved.
“The filmmaker is keen to revive Inshallah. Being a romantic comedy, the filmmaker is planning to cast either two of the top 3 mega stars from the 90s for the film. He is clear on making the film with right names. At once upon a time, he was planning his film with Salman Khan, but things fell off due to financial issues between the duo. Now, he is silently considering to approach other two top – mega stars to check on their availability and interest,” Pinkvilla quoted its source as saying.
In a surprising turn of events, renowned filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is reportedly planning to revive it with a new cast. He is now considering casting popular actor Ajay Devgn opposite Bhatt in the film. It would be interesting to see how the new pairing fares on the big screen.
While nothing has been officially confirmed yet, the news has already sparked a lot of excitement among fans of both Devgn and Bhansali. An official announcement is yet to be made by filmmakers.
