Sanya Malhotra to join the cast of the Hindi remake of The Great Indian Kitchen

Recently, we have learned that the Jeo Baby directorial hit Malayalam film The Great Indian Kitchen is set for a remake in Hindi this year. A source close to the development has revealed, “Harman Baweja and Vicky Bahri are producing the Hindi remake of The Great Indian Kitchen and they plan to take the film on floors by mid-2022. Multiple producers were in the race to bag this film in Hindi, and it’s finally the duo of Harman and Vicky who bagged the rights. The prep work has started as the team is working closely to adapt the story as per Hindi sensibilities.”

Well, just after that the source has informed us that Sanya Malhotra is said to play the character of Nimisha Sajayan in the Hindi remake. 

According to a source, “Several actors are being considered for the lead roles in the Hindi remake of Nimisha Sajayan, and Suraj Venjaramoodu starrer The Great Indian Kitchen. Since the film has received a lot of acclaim, actors who would resonate with the characters are of most importance. We have learnt that Dangal fame Sanya Malhotra is being considered to reprise Nimisha Sajayan’s role in the Hindi remake of The Great Indian Kitchen. More details are awaited.”
