Filmmaker Aanand L Rai is all set to make Atrangi Re with Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan and South star Dhanush. The script has been penned by National Film Award winner Himanshu Sharma. According to the filmmaker, the film is an amazing mix of two Indian cultures. The story of the film is based on Bihar and Madurai while the makers commence the shooting from Bihar.
Now according to the latest information, Sara Ali Khan will have a double role. “It’s a double role of sorts for Sara, the idea is to showcase the diverse sides of the actress. Akshay and Dhanush’s characters to have a special trait that separates them from rest of the cast. Their appearances will be in sync with the way they act and react while a special look is being designed for Akshay,” a source was quoted in a daily as saying.
Earlier there were reports that Akshay is maybe doing a cameo in the film, however, Anand has rubbished all the claims and assured that Akshay plays a “very special character who is important to the narrative”.
Meanwhile, Sara’s Love Aaj Kal released last week. Imtiaz Ali directorial didn’t do as expected at the box office.
