Suriya’s Scene has finally shown its hand, and the first full trailer leans hard into attitude, absurdity and action. Released on Saturday, the promo introduces the star as Inbaraj, a rebellious cop who shocks everyone around him by deciding to walk away from the force, only to tumble into a chaotic world of crime, confrontation and darkly comic mayhem ahead of the film’s November 6, 2026 theatrical release.
The trailer opens with Inbaraj refusing to play by the rules even after his resignation rattles his seniors and colleagues. When officers arrive at his home to drag him in, the sequence turns hilariously defiant, with Suriya’s character practically daring them to carry him. That mischievous streak runs through the trailer, which also reveals Inbaraj telling his superior Stephen that he wants to join politics after quitting the police force.
Trailer Leans Into Comedy, Conflict And A Sharp Villain
The new footage makes it clear that Scene is not mounting a straight cop drama. Jithu Madhavan appears to be steering the film into action comedy territory, mixing deadpan humour with a murder mystery setup and a volatile cat-and-mouse battle. Naslen plays Eeswaran, a ruthless criminal positioned as Inbaraj’s intellectual equal, and the trailer teases that face-off as one of the film’s biggest hooks.

She appears as Maya, who enters Inbaraj’s world after responding to an ad for a house help, but the footage quickly suggests she is far more than a domestic figure. Written and directed by Jithu Madhavan, Scene stars Suriya, Nazriya Nazim and Naslen, with Lal, John Vijay and Anandaraj in pivotal roles. The film is produced by Zhagaram Studios and was earlier known as Suriya 47 before its official title reveal in September 2026. The technical team includes cinematographer Vineeth Augustian, composer Sushin Shyam, production designer Ashwini Kale, editor Ajmal Sabu and stunt choreographer Chethan D Souza.
