Every Indian and cinema lover woke up to pleasant news of twin Oscar victories at prestigious Academy Awards. ‘Naatu Naatu’ song from S S Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ won Best Original Song and Guneet Monga’s ‘The Elephant Whisperers’ won for Best Documentary Short.
Superstar Shah Rukh Khan too congratulated teams of both the films for winning Oscars and inspiring the national.

Deepika Padukone Sizzles As She Introduces RRR’s ‘Naatu Naatu’ At 95th Academy Awards
Deepika Padukone took to the stage and introduced the “Naatu Naatu” musical performance by Kaala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj at the 95th Academy Awards on Monday morning (India time). The actor was revealed as one of the presenters in the first round of announcements. Other presenters at the prestigious awards include Halle Berry, John Travolta, Harrison Ford, and others. The show is hosted by comedian Jimmy Kimmel.
India was powerfully represented at the Oscars this year. In addition to Deepika appearing as a presenter, director SS Rajamouli’s RRR was nominated in the Best Original Song category, for the track “Naatu Naatu” which later won Oscars. Shaunak Sen’s widely-decorated ‘All that Breathes’ has been nominated in the Best Documentary Feature category, but lost, and The Elephant Whisperers was nominated in the Best Documentary Short category which won.
Nominees Kaala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj performed the song on stage. Everything Everywhere All at Once led the field of nominees with 11 nods. Deepika made her Hollywood acting debut with the action film ‘xXx: Return of Xander Cage’. She will soon be seen in a cross-border romantic comedy.
