Fans are buzzing with excitement over Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film, King. This action thriller features Khan alongside his daughter, Suhana Khan. Recently, SRK has been spotted in caps and beanies, hiding his new look for the film. Now, he’s finally revealed that he has chopped off his long hair.
Shah Rukh Khan Har Got A New Short Haircut For King
On November 2, 2024, Shah Rukh Khan celebrated his birthday with a special event for fans. During the celebration, a still from his 2023 blockbuster Pathaan was displayed on the screen behind him.
The photo showcased him with long, flowing hair. Khan reflected on his previous look & expressing his fondness for it. SRK revealed that he likes being in Patthan-like long hair.
He said, “Ab mere baal lambe nahi hai… mene kaat diye hai King ke liye” (Now my hair is no longer long… I have cut it for King).
SRK Thanks Fans For Making His 59th Birthday Memorable
His birthday event was filled with love and energy. Shah Rukh Khan shared a heartfelt message to his fans, thanking them for making his day memorable.
He posted a photo from the event, capturing himself in his iconic pose with arms wide open. In the background, fans could be seen clapping and celebrating. He wrote, “Thank you for coming over and making my evening special… my love to everyone who made it for my birthday. And for those who couldn’t, sending you all my love.”
About Shah Rukh Khan Starrer King
King marks a significant milestone for Khan as it is his first project with Suhana Khan. The film will be directed by Sujoy Ghosh and produced by Gauri Khan and Siddharth Anand. The cast also includes Abhishek Bachchan as a villain. Abhay Verma from Munjya is reported to play Suhana’s love interest.
Filming for King is set to kick off in January 2025. The shoot will start in Mumbai and will then shift to various locations in Europe. The film aims for a release around Eid 2026.
A source close to the production revealed that King is well-suited for the Eid 2026 release window. The source told Pinkvilla, “A film like King is apt for the Eid 2026 period, and that’s what Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth Anand are aiming at. It has been a while since a Shah Rukh Khan film was released on Eid, and this would mark his return to the festival after the historic success of Chennai Express.”
