The fans have been waiting for Shah Rukh Khan to announce his next since a very ling time now. King Khan was last seen in the movie Zero. Since then nor the actor was seen in any movie neither he announced any of his upcoming projects.
Now according to the information, Shah Rukh Khan’s next project is titled as Jahaazis. The movie will show the story of workers who will be moving from easter Uttar Pradesh & Western Bihar to work in the sugar plantations in West Indies. These all happening in the 19th century. The project is said to be from his production company Red Chillies Entertainment.
A source revealed, “The working title of the film is Jahaazi, named after the common term for such workers — Girmitiyas or Jahaazis — as they used to land in large numbers in the Caribbean islands with a three or four-year term as bonded or indentured labour. The film is a period film, as the first two ships landed at then British Guyana, now known as Guyana. The community, now known as Indo-Caribbeans, are now all-over West Indies with a majority of them in Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago. Interestingly, Shah Rukh is also the owner of Trinbago Knight Riders, which is why he could have got an idea to make the film.”
Although, nothing from the actor has been confirmed yet. And the speculations about Shah Rukh Khan‘s next keeps coming.
