Veteran actor Anupam Kher has left an indelible mark in the Hindi film industry across various genres. He has collaborated with Shah Rukh Khan a lot of times including iconic films like Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Veer Zaara, Mohabbatein, and Darr. He now has something to say about SRK and his huge stardom.
In a recent interview, Anupam Kher reflected on Shah Rukh Khan’s assertion of being the ‘last of the stars’.
Here’s What Anupam Kher Said About Shah Rukh Khan
Anupam Kher acknowledged Shah Rukh Khan’s enduring presence in the industry over the past three decades. He told Pinkvilla, “Shah Rukh ka style acha hai. He is right also.” However, he also highlighted the continued relevance of other superstars like Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Ajay Devgn.
Addressing the famed dialogue “Potchi, O Koka, O Bobi, O Lola” from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Kher revealed that the exchange was a spontaneous creation between him and Shah Rukh Khan. He remarked, “Shah Rukh & I improvised it on the spot. I felt at that moment that we should do something.” He further emphasised Khan’s collaborative and spontaneous nature during filming, adding, “Shah Rukh is a very cooperative and fun person to work with.”
For those unfamiliar, the dialogue originates from a scene where Kher’s character affectionately consoles Khan’s character after facing adversity, a moment that has since become emblematic in Indian cinema.
SRK’s Work Front
Talking about his work front, SRK made his smashing comeback last year with Pathaan and went on to deliver super hits like Jawan and Dunki. Fans are already excited to witness his magic once again with King. Apart from King, Shah Rukh Khan is also gearing up for Pathaan 2.
