Filmfare 2025 to take place in Ahmedabad
The 70th Filmfare Awards will be held on October 11, 2025, at EKA Arena by Kankaria Lake in Ahmedabad. The ceremony is being organized in collaboration with Gujarat Tourism, marking the first time the iconic event will take place in the state. The partnership aims to promote Gujarat as a cinematic destination under the state’s Cinematic Tourism Policy 2022, which encourages film production and entertainment events in the region.
The event will be hosted by Shah Rukh Khan along with Karan Johar and Maniesh Paul, a trio known for their effortless charm, wit, and stage chemistry. This also marks SRK’s full-fledged return as a Filmfare host after 17 years, his last hosting stint being in 2008. The actor’s comeback to the Filmfare stage has been one of the most anticipated highlights of the year.
SRK’s message to fans: “Filmfare and I are a perfect combination”
In a video released by Filmfare, Shah Rukh Khan delivered a heartfelt message to his fans, expressing his excitement for the upcoming event. Translating from his Hindi message, he said, “Filmfare aur main! Hai koi isse kamaal ka combination aur iss baar ye kamaal hoga aur bhi dhamal kyunki Filmfare Awards ke saath main aa raha hoon Gorgeous Gujarat, jahan ke nazaare kisi film scene se kam nahi. Toh aaiye milkar manaiye is blockbuster ka grand jashn aur gaur se dekhiye Gorgeous Gujarat Filmfare Awards ke saath.”
The video, showcases SRK amid picturesque visuals of the state, blending the glamour of cinema with the culture and landscapes of Gujarat. The campaign reinforces the spirit of this year’s edition, which aims to merge Bollywood’s glitz with the state’s grandeur.

The 70th Filmfare Awards promise to be a dazzling evening filled with top performances and appearances by leading stars of the industry.
