Shah Rukh Khan, the king of Bollywood, is back with a bang with his upcoming action thriller Jawan, which is set to release on September 7, 2023. Jawan to be the first Indian film on the world’s largest IMAX screen
The IMAX screen in discussion is the Traumpalast theatre in Leonberg near Stuttgart, Germany, which measures 38 by 22 meters (125 by 72 feet). It is the largest permanent IMAX screen in the world and can accommodate up to 600 viewers. Jawan will be the first Indian film to be screened on this gigantic screen, which will enhance the visual and audio experience of the film.
According to a report, Jawan will be screened on this screen on September 7, 2023, at 8 pm local time. The tickets for this special screening are already sold out, as per the report. The film will also be released in other IMAX theatres across Germany and other countries.
Jawan: A mass entertainer
Jawan is a Red Chillies Entertainment presentation, produced by Gauri Khan and co-produced by Gaurav Verma. The film marks the Bollywood debut of Atlee, who is known for his blockbuster Tamil films like Theri, Mersal and Bigil. The film also marks the Hindi debut of Nayanthara, who is one of the leading actresses in South Indian cinema. The film also features Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover and Rana Daggubati in pivotal roles.
The film revolves around Shah Rukh Khan’s character, who plays a dual role of a father and a son. The father is a fighter who fights for justice and the son is a jailer who questions his own morality. Shah Rukh Khan took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share a new teaser of the film and wrote, “Yeh to shuruaat hai… The Many Faces of Justice… yeh teer hain… abhi dhaal baaki hai… yeh anth hai abhi kaal baaki hai. Yeh poochta hai khud se kuch…. abhi Jawaab baaki hai.There’s a purpose behind every Face. But this is just the beginning…Wait for the Ace!!!”
The teaser shows four different looks of Shah Rukh Khan from the film, including his now-famous bald and masked look. The film has been shot in various locations like Mumbai, Dubai, Chennai and London.
Jawan is one of the most anticipated films of the year and is expected to break many records at the box office. The film will release worldwide in theatres on September 7th, 2023, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages.
