Tropical Cyclone Amphan hit the coastal regions of East India and Bangladesh a couple of days back. The deadly cyclone that ripped through Bengal and Odisha created huge havoc and affected millions of people.
Now, Shah Rukh Khan has come up to help the locals who are impacted by the natural calamity. The West Bengal brand ambassador extended support towards cities affected by the Amphan.
Through his organization- Meer Foundation and his Indian Premier League’s cricket team Kolkata Knight Riders. Informing about the same SRK shared that Meer Foundation and Kolkata Knight Riders organization will be planting nearly 5000 trees in the city of Kolkata.
The organization has also shared that an undisclosed amount has been transferred to Chief Minister’s relief fund. KKR Sahayta Vahan, ration, and essential supplies will be provided to locals belonging to the four most affected areas that are Kolkata, North and South 24 Parganas and East Medinipur.
Previously SRK through his KKR and Meer Foundation contributed 50,000 PPE kits to West Bengal amid the Coronavirus pandemic.
The superstar also took to his social media and wrote, “Kolkata, with unity comes strength and resilience. Let’s get through this together and help out those affected by Amphan.”
