Shahid Kapoor, who was last seen in Bloody Daddy, is all set to star in a mythological drama. Shahid has teamed up with Vashu Bhagnani for his next film. And this will be the first time he will play a mythological hero role.
Shahid Kapoor Reading Literature For Ashwatthama Prep
Shahid is leaving no stone unturned for his upcoming role in the mythological drama Ashwatthama–The Saga Continues. While his physical prep for the role is going on, Shahid Kapoor is spending the rest of his time learning about his character, which spans thousands of years. He has delved into a plethora of books on mythology to gain a better understanding of the psyche and essence of the warrior, son of Dronacharya, who was cursed with immortality.
“Shahid has been reading ancient texts and modern interpretations to explore the depths of Ashwatthama’s legend,” informs a source, adding that the actor is also going through rigorous training to breathe life into the role. “Recognising the need for agility and strength for the complex stunts required in the high-octane action sequences, Shahid has dedicated himself to intensive workouts and martial arts training. [He has been] mastering intricate fight choreography and honing his reflexes.”
Ambitious Project Ashwatthama To Go On Floor Soon
An industry source saying, “Vashu Bhagnani and Jackky Bhagnani have been developing this ambitious project since early this year and are determined to create a visual spectacle that promises audiences a cinematic experience like never seen before in Indian cinema. It will be mounted on a humongous scale with a global VFX team and an ensemble cast comprising actors from across the Indian film industry. Shahid is already signed on and will undergo intense physical training to embody the character of Ashwatthama.”
Ashwatthama delves into the Legend of The Immortal Warrior Ashwatthama from the Mahabharata, believed to walk among us even today. Set in the present era marked by rapid technological advancements and humanity’s remarkable capabilities, Ashwatthama confronts the challenges of modernity, facing off against formidable adversaries in a high-octane, action-packed narrative. As the mystery of a legendary figure thrust into the chaos of the present day unravels, the film explores the inner psyche of an immortal being, revealing how he perceives the world he has witnessed for thousands of years!
Shahid Kapoor is currently shooting for Deva. He just delivered a box office hit with Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya which earned more than 85 crore nett in India. Film was produced by Maddock Films.
