Shahid Kapoor is on a roll with his recent blockbuster film Kabir Singh. The film was a Hindi remake of a Telugu movie Arjun Reddy released in 2017.
Now according to the latest buzz the actor is approached for yet another South film.
As per the information Shahid has been asked to remake Suriya-starrer Soorarai Pottru. It is based on the life of Air Deccan founder and pioneer of low-cost aviation in India, GR Gopinath.
A source was quoted as saying, “The film was always supposed to be made in multiple languages. Shahid enjoyed a mammoth hit in Kabir Singh last year, which was the Hindi adaptation of the Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy. So, he was the first choice of the makers. The actor is currently going through the script. After the leading man is locked, the team will zero in on the principal cast.”
If things goes as planned then this will be the actor’s third south remade film. Shahid is already working for Jersey.
