Shahid Kapoor hit a bumper jackpot with his Kabir Singh this year. The remake of Vijay Deverakonda’s Arjun Reddy, Shahid’s film not only breached the 200 crore club but also was the first solo film for the actor to even cross 100 crore club.
The latest news with Shahid Kapoor is that he’s all set to star in another remake from the South. He will be seen in the Hindi remake of Telugu star Nani’s Jersey. The Hindi remake will also be of the same name. Pankaj Kapoor will also be a pivotal role in the film. Reports state that he will be playing Shahid’s mentor in the film.
A source close to an online portal stated, “Shahid will start shooting from December and will continue the shoot till 30th. The team will then take a four – five day break for New Year and then resume shoot in Chandigarh for the rest of the month. There is going to be a lot of movement from the team’s side in and out of Chandigarh in the coming months.”
Gowtam Tinnanauri who directed the original Telugu film will helm this one too. The original one was a success at the box office and a profitable venture for the makers. Allu Aravind, Aman Gill & Dil Raju will back the film. It’s slated to release on 28th August 2020.
